Mike attended Piedmont Bible College in North Carolina where he received his Thb./Aviation Degree. Sharon graduated from Pensacola Christian College in the secretarial program.

The Thompsons have been ministering in the village of Rosario through the Aviation/Church Planting ministry. The village is 6 hours away by bus and 12 hours away by boat from the capital city, Asuncion, where the Cessna 185 is based. With the use of the airplane, the village is only a 30-minute flight.

The ministry in Rosario has been primarily one of children and youth. We have seen the importance of reaching those there at an early age for Christ before they are trapped by the many temptations of Satan. We are now in our second term and are beginning to see some fruit. By reaching the kids first, parents now are attending as well.

There are many possibilities for the aviation ministry in Paraguay. There are many other villages that need to hear the Gospel and existing churches that need strengthening through additional leadership training and encouragement. There are untold numbers of ranches with airstrips scattered throughout Paraguay where evangelistic flights could be made.
