Al has an AA in music and BRE with Missions minor from BBC of PA. Kim has a BRE with Missions minor from Piedmont Baptist College in Winston Salem, NC.

Al got his aviation training at PBC where he met Kimberly, and they married in 1979.
They served in Bahia, Brazil first, then transferred to the Amazon area where they've been since 1989.They believe in aviation church planting as their ministry, using the plane to do multiple works, and have begun 8 churches and congregations and begun and/or taught in several Bible Institutes throughout these years.

The Yoders are currently running the DAC approved repair station for the airplanes on the field, working with two other couples (Geurinks and Bowers) in Sao Paulo de Olivenca planting the church, teaching in the Bible Institute and running the camp, working with Ticuna Indians in the Bible Institutes, and doing Biblical Counseling at "home" and at the hospital sight. Al and Kim are finishing up their masters in Biblical Counseling at this time, and are on furlough till May of 2005.

Our goal for the field is three planes, 6 pilot-families (two per plane) and 3 non-pilot families working with each aviation team.

We are in initial phases of construction of a new church building and new hangar in SPO. We are also working on scheduling the next two years missionary apprenticeship programs.
While on furlough we would be glad to do presentations wherever they are desired.
