Dale Fogg Family
Dale and Bev are both natives of Roanoke VA. Following high school graduation, Dale enlisted in the USAF, and during his first year they were married in the community church where they grew up together.
Dale was saved following his military discharge and the birth of their first son Eric. Bev had been saved at an early age at their home church. They subsequently had two other children, Glen and Amy. As a result of an extensive involvement in their local church ministry in Richmond VA where they moved when Dale was promoted as a supervisor with the telephone company, the Lord called them to missionary service. The Heavenly Father took their oldest son, Eric, at age 28, home to be with Him in 1995. Glen is attending Bible College and seeking God's direction for full time service. Amy is married and serves the Lord in their local church. Dale and Bev have 7 grandchildren.
EDUCATION: Dale: Patrick Henry High School, various Air Force schools in specialized electronics, various Bell System schools in Telephone Technology and Management, FAA licensed Commercial Pilot for single engine land and sea planes with an instrument rating, FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, Bachelor Degree in Theology from Piedmont Baptist College, MAF Bush Flying course, Linguistics course at Bob Jones University, and Spanish Language School at Rio Grand Bible Institute.
Beverly: Patrick Henry High School, Moody Bible Correspondence course, Piedmont Baptist College one year program, Bob Jones University Linguistics course, and Spanish Language School at Rio Grande Bible Institute.
MINISTRY: In 1976 Dale and Bev were appointed as missionaries under the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, Inc. Originally, they were to have been working on the Amazon River of Brazil in Aviation Evangelistic Church Planting and raised support to that end. However, when Brazil refused to grant visas, the Lord redirected to open an equivalent ministry in Paraguay. After arriving there in 1980, they pursued that goal. The ministry involved church planting, evangelism, service to National churches, and emergency response, utilizing the airplane as a tool of rapid and often the only means of transportation. The Lord blessed with the establishment of two interior churches where they were directly responsible, and one other where they assisted, plus various localized congregations. Scores of interior towns were visited and Gospel open air services were held for outreach evangelism, and as surveys for further church plants. Through this unique ministry, many heard the Gospel for the first time and received Christ as their Savior.
After 22 ½ years of service in Paraguay, God provided ministry replacement personnel and redirected the lives of Dale and Bev to EXPAND their outreach as they moved to Concord GA in June 2003 to serve with ABWE Air Worldwide as Associate Director of Aviation Ministries; along with representing ABWE to the local churches as Associate in Church Relations for the Southern Region of the USA.
